Our Story

Destiny Ridge’s owners, Jon and Barbara Hatton, have been happily married for 37 years. For over three decades, they’ve run Custom Kentucky Homes. Barbara loves working with clients and overseeing job sites to ensure the dream homes are prepared for new owners, while Jon has honed his expertise in construction, home permitting, and financing. In 2023, they embarked on a new venture with short-term rentals.

Both Jon and Barabra share a deep passion for nature, and the story behind Destiny Ridge is heartwarming. It all began with a dream and a particular tree.

When they first laid eyes on the house and the breathtaking views of the surrounding land, they were smitten. How could they not be, with the tranquility of being enveloped by trees, the gentle rustling of the wind, the babbling creek, the melodious birdsong, and the chirping of crickets? While touring the property on a utility vehicle , Jon suddenly paused and shared a dream that he’d had. In the dream, he was wandering through this remarkable piece of land and came upon a ridge with a magnificent oak tree right in front of him. It was the exact spot they were standing in that day before touring the property. They exchanged glances, and Barbara exclaimed, “Jon, this is your destiny!”

Welcome to Destiny Ridge!
